Black Milk Clothing: BM Pic A Day May 2022 – Week One

This year I’ve got myself organised and decided I’m able to take part in the BM Pic A Day May 2022 challenge. I own over 50 Black Milk Clothing items currently and I estimate I’ve owned approximately 100+ in total, some of which I’ve sold. Black Milk Clothing (BM for short) is an Australian based clothing brand and they make clothes for those who dare to stand out. I personally love bright colours, glitter, sequins, etc which is what first made me become obsessed with Black Milk Clothing when I was in my early 20s. Every May, BM set a challenge for us to post daily, sticking to a specific theme for the day. These themes can be interpreted in whatever way we choose. You can see my daily posts on my Instagram, @louiseroseblog.

Day 1 – My First Piece

Black Milk Clothing item: Sparkle Sparkle Holo Sequin Velvet Blazer & Mermaid Leggings.

I sold my first piece, the jellyfish leggings, a few years back. So I decided to interpret this theme in my own way – by wearing my first piece in this style. It also happens to be the last item I bought from the store! When I saw the Sparkle Sparkle Holo Sequin Velvet Blazer, I knew it was very me and I HAD to buy it. The mermaid leggings also happen to be maybe the third or fourth black milk item I bought all those years ago.

Rainbow Galaxy Leggings

Day 2 – Matchy Matchy

Black Milk Clothing item: Rainbow Galaxy Leggings & Jeffrey Campbell x Black Milk Rainbow Galaxy Wedge Boots.

Today’s theme was Matchy Matchy! I’ve matched my rainbow galaxy leggings with my Jeffrey Campbell x Black Milk rainbow galaxy wedge boots. I think these are great, I love the bright colours and pairing them together.

Day 3 – Feelin’ Arty

Black Milk Clothing item: Starry Night Leggings.

Of course I wore my Black Milk Clothing starry night leggings when I went to see the Van Gogh experience in York. You can read my review of the experience here, Review: Van Gogh York – The Immersive Experience.

Disney Dress

Day 4 – My Style

Black Milk Clothing item: Ariel Vs Ursula Inside Out Dress.

“You appear to have a sea witch on your butt!” I bought this inside out dress because I very much love bright colours and I’m a huge Disney fan. The Disney collections are absolutely my thing and one of the releases I most looked forward to.

Tinkerbell Skater Dress

Day 5 – A Little Bit Of Magic

Black Milk Clothing item: Tinker Bell Reversible Skater Dress.

I bought this dress especially for one of my trips to Disney Land Paris. The colours of this dress though, I just love them! Plus Tinker Bell is so cute.

Teal Galaxy Slouchy

Day 6 – That Friday Feeling

Black Milk Clothing item: Galaxy Teal Slouchy.

The majority of my Friday evenings now involve coming straight home from work and getting in something comfy, such as my Galaxy Teal Slouchy! It’s a favourite of mine and I absolutely love the colours.

Terror From The Deep BFT

Day 7 – Saturday Selfie

Black Milk Clothing item: The Terror From The Deep BFT.

The Terror From The Deep BFT is so comfy, I’ve worn it a lot over the years I’ve owned it. I regret not buying the swim back when it was released. We had plans to go out on this day, so my selfie was a little rushed.

I Eat Mice Zip Suit

Day 8 – Animal Print Realness

Black Milk Clothing item: I Eat Mice Zip Suit.

The only “animal print” style item I currently own is my I Eat Mice Zip Suit! I paired this with a silver glitter skirt I bought from New Look.

And that’s week one done! Some days were much more rushed than others for photos. Overall, I’m enjoying taking part in this years #BMPicADayMay challenge and I’m excited to see everyone else’s photos throughout the month of May!
