Last Sunday I was lucky enough to be invited to The Body Shop store in Meadowhall for their Christmas blogger event. I was so excited to see blogger friends who I’ve met before, meet new faces and have a good look around the store for gift ideas. The event took place for 2 hours on Sunday evening, once the store had closed from the public. This meant that we had the store completely to ourselves, which was awesome.
As we entered the store, we were greeted with festive biscuits and a choice of drink. I opted for cranberry lemonade. After an initial browse of the store, the wonderful Body Shop ladies did a demo on how to create a look using the new festive makeup range. I love anything with glitter, so I knew I had to treat myself to some of the products used in the demonstration.
Her make up is so beautiful, the Grooving Gold eyeshadow palette (as seen in the photo below) was used on the model and can be bought alone or in the set below.
I’m more of a fan of the colour silver so I decided to treat myself to the silver set which included Swinging Silver. This will be perfect for the festive events I’m planning to attend in December.
Beauty advent calendars are so popular at the moment, I know a lot have sold out already across different brands and we’re still in the middle of November. I had to try really hard and stop myself from buying The Body Shops 24 Happy Days Advent Calendar. I saw loads of other bloggers grabbing themselves one, so I’ll be sure to keep an eye on their blogs to see what they thought of it.
The Christmas range is all absolutely gorgeous. There is Frosted Cranberry, Frosted Plum and Glazed Apple. When I sampled the Shimmer Lotion and realised it contained glitter, I instantly wanted a bottle! It was a tough decision but I chose the Glazed Apple Shimmer Lotion in the end. However, I was pleased to see I’d been given the Frosted Cranberry Shower Gel in my goodie bag, which smells so amazing. As I mentioned before, all the Christmas scents are genuinely lovely – I’d recommend them all if I’m honest.
I actually left the event with so much more than I’d planned on buying, but I’m thrilled to bits with my purchases and the contents of my goodie bag.
I completely forgot that we got an exclusive blogger goodie bag with purchases, so it was a nice surprise when I saw each blogger getting a bag full of treats after they’d decided what to purchase. The first picture below is my own purchases and the second photo shows the samples and gifts I received in my goodie bag. My purchases are a mixture of treats to myself and gifts for others.
Thank you so much to Sophie and The Body Shop Meadowhalls team for inviting me and putting on such an excellent event, I really enjoyed it. Be sure to head over to The Body Shop website and check out their products. Don’t forget there will usually be Black Friday and Cyber Monday sales in the coming week, so if you’re wanting to treat yourself and/or buy gifts for others – that will be the perfect opportunity! If you live in/near Sheffield, head to The Body Shop store(s) in Meadowhall. Their team are lovely and will be happy to help you. If you don’t, head to your nearest store and check out the Christmas range as the Christmas products are beautiful.
Disclaimer: I was invited to The Body Shop, Meadowhall and I got 40% off purchases and a goodie bag which included samples. All opinions, thoughts and photographs are genuinely my own.
