Kiehl’s York Blogger Event & Afternoon Tea

I was recently invited along to the Kiehl’s store in York for their blogger event in collaboration with The Royal York Hotel, for an afternoon of beauty products, prosecco and afternoon tea – what more could a girl ask for?!

I adore events like this because I get the opportunity to ask all the questions I want and test out the products. I recently organised my own blogger event in Sheffield and Kiehl’s Meadowhall popped by with some amazing samples for the attendees, so I already had an idea of how kind they are as a brand and suspected I was in for an afternoon of treats. My god, I was right!

The Kiehl’s store in York is the training hub for the north, so have a room upstairs which they use to train staff and new starters. As we were guided upstairs to the training room, there were 3 tables beautifully set up ready for a quick presentation and our afternoon tea.

The presentation included a brief history all about Kiehl’s as a brand which I found to be very interesting. This explained how the company was first founded and how quickly they have grown since then.

Afternoon tea is one of my favourite things ever, but this was honestly the best afternoon tea I’ve ever had. I’d happily go to the hotel in future to treat myself to it again. Seriously, it was AMAZING! The sandwiches were my favourite part, which I had with a pot of gorgeous jasmine tea.

After we’d finished eating, we were took downstairs in the store for a skincare consultation. I’ve never had anything like this done before and it was really interesting. It was nice to learn about my skin, as I’m trying to focus on looking after my skin more at the moment.

As the event was ending, we were given the chance to make any last minute purchases with an exclusive discount especially for those attending the event. The awesome Kiehl’s team also handed each of us a bloggers goodie bag containing a variety of products and samples.

If you’re ever in York, be sure to visit the Kiehl’s store as it is such a lovely store and the staff are so knowledgeable – or visit your local Kiehl’s store if you have one nearby.

This was such a wonderful event with a lovely atmosphere. I got to meet the beautiful Kat for the first time, which was nice because I’d spoke to her a few times via Twitter.
