The Blogger Tag | Get To Know Me

Welcome to The Blogger Tag. The lovely Abbie and Kat both nominated me for a tag which Abbie started up herself, called The Blogger Tag. I have answered the below questions and then tagged some fellow bloggers to join in and answer the same questions on their blog.

The aim of The Blogger tag is to get to know each other better, as bloggers. These actually remind me of those Q&A posts I used to do back in the Myspace days.

Here are my answers…

Question 1: How tall are you?
5 ft 5″. I’m an average height I guess, but I seem to be smaller than most people my age.

Question 2: Do you have a hidden talent? If so, what?
I guess you could class my blog as a hidden talent? When I tell people about it, they always seem surprised. I guess it is quite a unique thing to do.

Question 3: What’s your biggest blog-related pet peeve?
PR’s and brands that have an attitude and start pestering me when I haven’t wrote about their product yet. If I set a time limit with them, fair enough. If it’s just a small product for a general review though, sometimes I wait for a certain time of year or event which fits in with the product.

Also, when I’m sent a blanket email addressed to someone else. I know mistakes happen, but when it’s addressed to me it shows they’ve at least tried to do their research into my blog.
My worst pet peeve though, is PR’s and brands who really under value bloggers. As a blogger, we are essentially providing a service for their client. A photographer (generally) or any other freelancer wouldn’t work for free, so why should we. It takes a lot of time and effort writing and compiling a blog post because we have to photograph the product, write the post, promote and share it, etc.

Question 4: What’s your biggest non-blog related pet peeve?
People who are arrogant and not polite, it doesn’t take much to say please and thank you!

Question 5: What’s your favourite song?
This is such a hard question, there’s so many possible answers I could give! I can’t really limit it to a favourite song, but I have favourite bands/artists. These include Deaf Havana, Don Broco, Bring Me The Horizon, A Day To Remember, Enter Shikari and so many more.

Question 6: What’s your favourite social media website?
Twitter is such an amazing tool in regards to blogging. It’s so useful for networking and promoting my blog. I’ve always been a fan of Twitter but I’ve become even more of a Twitter fan since I started blogging.

Question 7: What’s your favourite way to spend your free time when you’re alone?
Obvious answer here, but I enjoy working on my blog when I’m alone. I stick some music on and get carried away with blogging related work. To wind down, I love watching reality TV shows such as TOWIE and Made In Chelsea.

Question 8: What’s your favourite junk food?
Too many to choose from to be honest, but I love mexican food with loads of sour cream, or pizza with garlic sauce. Mmmm!

Question 9: Do you have a pet or pets? If so, what kind and what are their names?
My lovely little old lady cat, Delia, passed away at the start of 2016. I have two dogs, a chihuahua and a jack russel, and a parrot who swears a lot. I also live with a sausage dog called Charlie who is my housemates dog.

Question 10: What are your number one favourite nonfiction and fiction books?
My favourite author is Emily Giffin, I’m a huge fan of her books, Something Borrowed and Something Blue.

Question 11: What’s your favourite beauty product or tool?
My favourite beauty product would have to be my beauty blender sponge.

Question 12: When were you last embarrassed? What happened?
Oh wow, I’m always doing embarrassing things. I can’t actually pin point anything specific.

Question 13: If you could only drink one beverage (besides water) for the rest of your life, what would it be?
Prosecco, duh.

Question 14: What’s your favourite movie?
I have two favourite films I think, The Perks Of Being A Wallflower and Moulin Rouge.

Question 15: What was your favourite lesson in school and why?
I enjoyed food because I love food (haha) and you can be creative with food. I enjoyed putting together my food coursework.

Question 16: If you could live anywhere in the world, where would you live?
I’d love to live in a nice village or town somewhere in the UK, or I’ve never visited but I do think I’d love to live in somewhere warm, but not too warm.

Question 17: PC or Mac?
I do prefer PC if I’m honest.

Question 18: Last romantic gesture from a crush, date, boy/girlfriend, spouse? (or kind gesture from a friend)
Not applicable.

Question 19: Favourite celebrity?
One of my favourite celebrities at the moment is Lucy Hale, from Pretty Little Liars. Such a good show!

Question 20: What blogger do you secretly want to be best friends with?
Not applicable.

Question 21: Who is your biggest inspiration?
My mum.

Question 22: What is your favourite blog to read?
I have a list of blogs which I regularly read and stay up to date with.

Question 23: What is your favourite high street shop?
LUSH. Of course.

Question 24: Are you in education or do you work?
I’m currently in work but next month I’m starting a higher level apprenticeship and I’m so excited. I’ve worked so hard for this!

Question 25: One thing you are proud of?
Starting my new job in December. I’ve worked hard for this opportunity.
