5 Things To Do After A Night Out

Many of us love nothing more than to have a glass of wine or a can of beer after a busy day, however, if one or two have turned into a heavy night out, it can be all too easy to feel the effects the next day. If you’ve got to go to work or run some errands, the last thing you want is a hangover looming over you. To help soften the blow, here are five things you can do after a night out to hopefully leave you feeling refreshed and ready to start the day.

Sleep In

While there is no actual cure for a hangover, sleeping through the worst of it may be the best place to begin. We all know how important sleep is for our health, so if you haven’t got anything on the next day, sleeping in can make a big difference. Alcohol may help you fall asleep quicker, but it’s likely you will wake up feeling sluggish, so having a few extra hours can help.

Drink Plenty of Water

If you drank more cocktails than you’d like to remember, the chances are you’ll be incredibly dehydrated after your night out. To stop headaches and feeling drained the next day, make sure to drink plenty of water before you go to bed. Hydrating your body can help you get through your hangover much easier.

IV Hydration Therapy

If you’ve woken up and are not sure how you’re going to get through the day with your hangover, you may want to consider IV hydration therapy. IV’s replace any lost fluids and electrolytes quickly, helping you to get back to your normal self.

Get Some Fresh Air

There’s nothing better than getting outdoors and taking in the fresh air. While there isn’t concrete evidence to show that oxygen relieves hangover symptoms, some people strongly believe that the connection is real. Getting out of your stuffy room and getting more oxygen in your veins can only be a good thing in the long run.

Eat Eggs for Breakfast

When a hangover is in full force, it’s understandable that food will be the last thing on your mind, however, it’s important to refuel your body, especially if you have a big day ahead. Starting off slow with bland foods like crackers or rice may be a good place to start, however, eating some eggs can also be beneficial too. Eggs contain the amino acid known as cysteine. This helps to break down acetaldehyde, which is responsible for your horrible hangover symptoms.

If you’re prone to waking up feeling worse for wear, there are tons of things that you can do to help reduce the hangover symptoms. Whether it be sleeping in, drinking plenty of water, getting some fresh air or even considering IV hydration therapy; helping to make your hangover that little bit more bearable can truly make a difference.
