I was recently invited to the Maxwell Scott AW19 collection launch, which took place at The Grand Hotel, York, which I was honoured to attend. Maxwell Scott is a family-run business based in York, North Yorkshire, UK and they invited local press, bloggers and influencers to preview their AW19 collection. Their mission is to create classic, timeless bags which people will keep by their side for decades, handcrafted from the finest materials sourced in Italy. They also pride themselves on delivering excellent customer service, offering free delivery on purchases over £100.

Upon arrival at The Grand, guests were offered drinks (alcoholic or non-alcoholic) and delicious canapes. Unfortunately I didn’t get any photos of the canapes as I arrived straight from work, but I did get to try some. After some mingling, the Maxwell Scott team gave us all some information about the collection and hints of what to expect. We were then guided through to the room which showcased the collection, which was beautifully fragranced with Neom Candles (one of my personal favourite candle brands).

There were different activities set up in each corner of the room. One of the stalls gave attendees the chance to paint their own heart shaped Maxwell Scott bag with a pattern of their choice. Unfortunately I missed out on this as they ran out of bags which was a shame. I did, however, get the opportunity to have my palm read by a York based clairvoyant, called Claire, who is such a lovely lady. My reading was spot on and surprisingly very accurate. I was pleasantly surprised!

On the final table of my evening, each attendee got to personalise their own Maxwell Scott card holder with something of their choice. I opted for my initials, LRR, which of course stands for Louise Rose Railton! I was the second to last person to do mine so I almost missed out, eeek.

It’s safe to say the drinks continued to flow throughout the evening and it was so lovely to catch up with other local York Bloggers and to also meet new bloggers/influencers who I hadn’t had the chance to meet yet.

Thank you for such a wonderful evening – as you can see from my photographs, the AW19 collection is absolutely stunning and I am very impressed. Thank you also for inviting me to the #MyBagMyCity York event. You can find out more information about Maxwell Scott and view the collection by heading to the Maxwell Scott Bags website.
