Innovations in technology can be exciting to hear about, especially if it’s something totally unique and interesting that you’ve never seen before. However, it’s actually fairly common to hear about these advances but never see them being used until many years later. In fact, many technologies end up getting scrapped and repurposed for things that are completely different. In this blog post, we’ll cover a few medical advances you can expect to see in the next few years that could impact the way you receive care from your doctor.
Wearables
Wearables have become incredibly popular for tracking things such as your health and fitness. They’ve mostly been for leisure purposes in the past, but Apple announced back in 2018 that it’s Apple Watch 4 would have an integrated ECG to monitor your heart rhythms. This made people realize the power of wearables, and it’s not far fetched to imagine similar devices given to you by your doctor to monitor the health of you and your family.
Telecare
Telecare is the concept of offering healthcare through digital devices. This can include remote doctor’s appointments at a pharmacy or even private care in your home through a smartphone or tablet. These services are already available in some parts of the world, but we expect it will soon become global given how accessible and convenient it is.
AI Robotics
Below, we’ve added an infographic about AI robotics and how they could completely change the way we see the healthcare industry. While these technologies are still very new, you should expect to see them much sooner than you’d expect.
