I was recently offered the opportunity to review a Clear Panel Mask from Victoria Ann Studio London. First of all, I’d like to apologise that this review is delayed. The reason I was so enthusiastic about going ahead with reviewing a clear panel mask was because I work with young people with disabilities and some of them need to be able to lip read to aid their communication.
My mask arrived neatly packaged, which included a thank you note and a bar of beautiful smelling soap. The purpose of the soap is to rub it on the inside of the clear panel. I thought this additional touch was such a lovely idea.
As mentioned above, there are a few reasons why clear panel masks are a good idea. They can help with communication, especially for those who need to lip read. I also felt like my face didn’t get as warm, although the clear panel did steam up whilst I was outside (however it was very cold on this particular day).
The print I chose for my clear panel mask was the floral print, as I liked the bright colours of the floral design. I received plenty of comments and compliments on my mask. I also felt it was easier for me to engage with the young people I work with, compared to when I wear a regular mask. For this reason, I have decided I am going to purchase some clear panel masks myself. It was even a nice feeling knowing they could see my smile.
