Review: All Bar One – Harrogate

This weekend we headed to Harrogate, as we like to get out and about when we can, trying different restaurants and cafés. We like to visit both chains and independents, so we decided to give All Bar One in Harrogate a try on this occasion. I’ve previously visited All Bar One York in the past to review their Christmas menu, but it was nice to go to one of their other bars in another town. I’ve also previously been to All Bar One in York for lunch with my friend I met through blogging, Inside Lauras Head. I thought it would be nice to do a review of my experience dining at All Bar One in Harrogate.

A pride cocktail on a black and white patterned table

Absolut Queen cocktail

Celebrate Pride this summer with All Bar One’s special cocktail, Absolut Queen! 50p for every Absolut Queen cocktail sold will be donated to Ask For Clive, who work with bars and pubs to create welcome spaces for the LGBTQIA+ community. I like to support LGBTQIA+ causes and the community whenever I can. With every sip, you will get notes of Absolut Citron vodka, Cointreau, cranberry juice, sugar & lime… and a generous garnish of equality!

Chicken Katsu in a white dish

Chicken Katsu

I’m a big fan of Chicken Katsu, but I hadn’t tried All Bar One’s version before this visit. Their Chicken Katsu included firecracker chicken breast with steamed sticky jasmine rice and a spiced coconut curry sauce. The sauce was very flavoursome and the chicken was cooked nicely. The dish was also beautifully presented.

The Dirty Stack

Tom decided to have The Dirty Stack, as he always enjoys a good burger. This burger was huge, it was genuinely piled high with different food! This dish consisted of a double chargrilled beef patty, cheesy sauce, smoked streaky bacon, tobacco onions, Sriracha hot sauce, crushed hash brown and seasoned skin-on fries. He struggled to eat everything, but managed to by the end.

The service was great, as our waitress was friendly and helpful. The food wasn’t a long wait to be honest, to say it was a busy Saturday. I’d visit again! I’d like to try some of the items on the tapas menu next time. You can find your nearest All Bar One restaurant by searching your postcode on the All Bar One website.

  1. I haven’t been to an All Bar One in the longest time but I always remember how much I enjoyed the food and atmosphere. This location looks like it has some great things on offer; I’d love to visit when I get to the UK again!
