Whenever some kind of lunch/mini meet is organised with a group of Sheffield bloggers, I always have a wonderful time. Last time we all properly met was for the Sheffield Bloggers Christmas Meal. It’s sometimes hard to find a day or time when everyone’s available, but I’m so pleased to have found such wonderful friendships in Sheffield through my blogging.
A couple of weeks back, a group of us all met up for a late lunch at Anchorage Bar, Sheffield. When we’d all arrived, we headed to our table and sat down.
The first drink I tried was Strawberry Fields, after seeing how good it looked when Kirstie ordered it.
You may or may not be aware, but I’m moving back to my home town York at the end of February and leaving Sheffield. Some of my wonderful friends who I’ve met through blogging got me some absolutely adorable gifts. I honestly felt like crying, in a good way.
I hadn’t ate steak in ages and I’d heard so much about how good the food was at Anchorage, so I decided to treat myself to steak. It was extremely delicious.
After we’d paid the bill, Kirstie suggested we head to Caffè Leopold – Prosecco Lounge as we’d all been wanting to go and try it for SO long. I’m so glad we went because I loved it.
There was a variety of Prosecco available and you could also order Prosecco cocktails! I chose Pink Fizz which had hints of rose in, it was very, very nice. I continued to order them for the rest of the evening haha.
I had such a wonderful time with my Sheffield based blogging friends. I’m extremely thankful for the friendships I’ve made via blogging/Sheffield. I’m so sad to be leaving Sheffield but I’m going to miss everyone so much – hopefully we can keep in touch!
