Femme Luxe Finery – Winter Wardrobe

I’ve previously reviewed Femme Luxe twice before this, with mixed reviews both times. Once again, this is going to be a mixed review. If you’re a blogger, you will have more than likely have heard of Femme Luxe, mostly about the emails they send and customer service. With each review, I am supposed to be able to choose 4 items from Femme Luxe. However, upon ordering this time – only 3 items were approved. Looking back, one of the items was a party dress. Since then, I’ve seen that they are wanting bloggers to do reviews solely on their party wear. This explains why the dress may have been refused.

Todays haul includes items from Femme Luxe Finery’s winter collection. One of my favourite things about winter is the fashion, which includes long cosy coats, knitted jumpers, chunky boots, festive dresses, etc. I tried to get the best photos I could, but it is winter here and it’s been raining every time I had some free time to take some pictures.

Stone Waterfall Duster Belted Long Coat

Colour: Stone
Size: M/L (12/14)
Price: Currently £12.99, reduced from £37.98

I’m going to be honest, the sizing of this coat isn’t great on me. I could have done with another size up in all honesty. It is a cosy coat, which looks fashionable at the same time. Although the belted long coat in the stone colour is currently out of stock, you can get it in a very similar Beige colour or a variety of other colours here.

Black Cropped Long Sleeve Jumper

Colour: Black
Size: XL (12/14)
Price: Currently £6.99, reduced from £19.98

The Black Cropped Long Sleeve Jumper is my kind of jumper, although I do think it is too big for me slightly and I could have maybe sized down. I would happily wear this to remain cosy at home, or out and about to keep warm in the winter months. Cropped jumpers and tops are really in at the moment, but I can see why some people may not like them as they don’t cover the stomach or bum at all. I’m quite self conscious about those areas, but with the right pair of jeans I can sometimes pluck up the confidence.

Unfortunately, the other item I chose and was sent, which was the Black Loungewear Tracksuit Set and I was unable to get photos of me wearing it as the material is just so thin. I will be able to (and do) wear them whilst lounging around my apartment, but I wouldn’t be able to wear them if we had company. The sizing of these is also a little tight on me, but I got the biggest size available – XL (12/14). I got this in black, which is currently unavailable, but you can look at the other colours available on the Femme Luxe website here.

As mentioned at the beginning of this blog post, I’m usually sent four items of my choice to review but a dress I chose was refused. Yet again, the sizing is very hit and miss with Femme Luxe. It’s a shame one item wasn’t approved and the other is a very thin fabric so I couldn’t wear it to the gym, for example.
