A while back I met up with some blogger friends and we got talking about cameras. Billie was telling me how she doesn’t know what camera to buy, especially affordable ones which are suitable for bloggers. This is when I realised I could write a blog post about the best cameras for bloggers.

I used to study photography at university, but I soon realised it wasn’t for me as a degree. I prefer photography as a hobby – I think that’s one of the reasons why I enjoy blogging so much.
There are so many cameras on the market, it can be quite confusing when looking into buying a new camera. Whether you have a budget or want to splash some cash, I have some recommendations for you which I hope you’ll find helpful. These are in order of lowest to highest priced cameras.
Canon Powershot SX610 HS – £159.99
This is a brilliant option for those who want a camera with a user-friendly set up. It has good picture quality and full HD video recording. Plus, the integrated built-in Wi-Fi means you can share on-the-go.
Canon EOS 100D DSLR – £300.00
This is a brilliant entry-level DSLR camera, which is affordable and great if you’re just starting out in regards to photography. The 100D is compatible with a vast range of Canon’s lenses, which is always useful.
Olympus Pen E-PL7 Pancake Zoom Kit – £499.99
The Olympus Pen E-PL7 is a pricey camera but it’s so worth it if you can afford it. There are a variety of kits available on the website, some of the kits are slightly cheaper and some are a bit more expensive. I guess it’s just personal preference. I love my Olympus Pen though.
There are also some great websites out there such as Sensible Reviewer, who have reviewed the best budget cameras on the market. I decided on the Olympus Pen for myself, purely because it has a lot of features that I personally need and knew I would use often, which I do!
