Happy birthday to me. So, I thought I’d write a little post all about how I’ve been celebrating getting old and turning 26 this year, as I did the same last year and wrote all about it.
Firstly, I recently went to Edinburgh with my wonderful boyfriend Kiel as a joint treat. The trip was so lovely and Edinburgh is very beautiful, especially at Christmas.

On the night before my birthday, Friday 23rd December, I organised a little night out full of cocktails and shots at Gibsons in York. I wore sequins from head to toe, including a shiny badge. I was so pleased with how the evening out went and everyone seemed to enjoy themselves.
On the day, I slept in a little bit but had to be up ready for my mum coming over to visit with my gifts. I got such lovely presents from my parents, including a personalised bottle of Prosecco with my name ‘Louise Rose’ on it and the words, ‘Happy Birthday’.

I’d read online that if you sign up to Patisserie Valerie’s newsletter, they will send you a voucher to get a birthday cake and optional candle if you visit within the select dates. I went with Kiel and my family to their York store, and was given this beautiful chocolate cupcake with a candle.

We said goodbye to my family and went to our local pub for a couple of drinks, as we had some time to spare before the meal I’d booked. Our table at Las Iguanas was booked for 6:30pm so we arrived about 10 minutes before. Kiel had a burger which looked amazing and I chose the tapas because it’s my favourite food they do. I also got my meal free because I also had a voucher from them.

Anyway, that’s it, I’m another year older – I’m officially 26 now. Thank you to Kiel for my presents and trip to Edinburgh. Thank you also to my parents for their gifts to me. I had a lovely time celebrating.
