Bonprix Leeds Blogger Event #BonprixOnTheRocks

Last weekend I was invited to attend my first ever fashion related blogging event, #BonprixOnTheRocks in Leeds hosted by BonPrix. This was held at a gorgeous venue, the Malmaison Leeds.

With our event invite, there was a very exciting twist. We were asked to browse the BonPrix website and pick a dress of our choice (of up to £50 in cost) to wear to the event. After hours of browsing the website, which had plenty of beautiful dresses, I finally decided on the Embroidered Lace Prom Dress in the colour, Petrol.

Upon arrival, there was a champagne reception. This was the perfect opportunity to introduce myself to other blogs who I’d not met before and catch up with those I’d previously met. We also got to chat with some of the BonPrix marketing team.

We were then split into two teams, Team 1 and Team 2. I was in Team 2, so the first team got to go make their first cocktail before us. Before the cocktail making began, the yummy food began to be brought out. I was so hungry by this point! It was at this point that we got to see all of the amazing dresses that the other bloggers had chosen, there were so many I liked.

Now it was my teams turn to have our first go at the cocktail making. With the help of a trained professional, we were shown how to make a mojito-style cocktail, called Sassy Sapphie, and then given the opportunity to make our own in sets of three people. I made mine alongside Emma and Laura. The bartender who hosted the cocktail making sessions definitely deserves a huge round of applause, I overheard him saying that this was the largest group of people he’d ever taught cocktail making.

I got to know some really lovely bloggers better because of the Bonprix event, including Laura and Emma. Whilst team 1 made their 2nd cocktail, more nibbles were brought out for us whilst we all chatted. I did hide in the corner slightly as when the room was loud, my anxiety was getting bad. However, I was fine sitting in the corner getting to know Laura more – which I’m so glad I got the opportunity to do as she is so brilliant. Be sure to check out her blog, Inside Lauras Head.

Next, it was time to go make our other cocktail – a Pretty In Pink Frocktail, which essentially was a cosmopolitan cocktail = one of my favourite cocktails ever. Above you can see a photo of Laura loving her two frocktails, as the lovely Simone gave hers to Laura.

I also never usually win ANYTHING but I won the prize for the best Sassy Sapphire cocktail selfie! The prize was a delicious bottle of prosecco, but we weren’t allowed to open it/drink it in the building so I took mine back to York with me. I’m going to be enjoying it at some point this week as I’m on annual leave.

#BonprixOnTheRocks was a very unique and really well organised event by Bonprix. Thank you so much to BonPrix and Search Laboratory for inviting me, I had such an amazing time. Also, thank you to Malmaison for having us. They did an amazing job with the catering. Head to Bonprix.co.uk if you would like to check out their stunning selection of party dresses.
