My fiancé and I are currently in the process of planning our wedding and I’m constantly looking for ways money can be saved when wedding planning. If you are crafty and like to get creative, making your own wedding stationery could be a great money saving option. When designing your own, you can tailor them to your taste and make them as fancy as you want, whilst reducing the cost.

Printable wedding stationery can be a stylish option, which looks professional but helps with your budget. You can choose from a variety of designs, add in all of the relevant details and you can then arrange for it to be printed elsewhere. This means you can shop around and find the best deal available. There are some free options available (a quick Google will show you some), or alternatively you can find some great options on Etsy.

Hand deliver them

Stamps and postage can add a lot of additional cost, it can become expensive. For example, if you have 100 guests, the cost can quickly add up. If possible, hand deliver them and ask friends or family to pass them on, on your behalf.

Look for deals from wedding stationery businesses

There are many online businesses, such as on Etsy, who run a variety of promotional offers at different times of years. These sometimes include bundles which can be great value for money. You can also order sample packs so you can see what they look like before committing to a full order.

Consider online alternatives

You can create a “wedding website” and send the link via messaging/email/text/preferred contact method. Your wedding website will include all of the details about your day and answer any questions your guests may have. Guests will also be able to RSVP via your wedding website. Examples of popular wedding websites include options such as Hitched, Joy and The Knot.

Alternatively, some people when planning their weddings opt to utilise Facebook events. Guests RSVP via the Facebook event. Both of these online options help to save money and still look professional.
