New Menu Launch – Veeno Leeds Wellington Place

Last month Veeno Leeds kindly invited me to their Wellington Place based Italian Wine Café, for their new menu launch. I’ve previously reviewed the wine tasting at Veeno Leeds Wellington Place when it opened its doors in 2018. It is one of my favourite Veeno branches, as it is just so beautiful inside. As I was able to bring a plus one, I asked my mum to come along with me as I knew she would love it.

Upon arrival, we were greeted with a glass of fizz and were shown to our table whilst we waited for other bloggers/influencers/press to arrive. I won’t focus on the interiors of Wellington place in this blog post, as I wrote about how stunning it all is in my last review. Once people had began to arrive, the Veeno team began bringing the samples out from their new food menu. Everything I tried was something completely new compared to my previous visit.

Some of the first items to be brought out to try was a selection of Italian meats and cheeses, which feature on Veeno’s Italian boards. I always look forward to the meat and cheese selection during my Veeno visits, as meat and/or cheese boards are one of my favourite things.

I was pleasantly surprised to find out Veeno have now branched out with their food menu, offering delicious Italian artisan pizzas! I was advised to give the Nduja E Fiordilatte (Tomato sauce, mozzarella fiordilatte, nduja and fresh basil) pizza a try, which was spicy but tasted incredible. There was also samples of the classic Margherita pizza which I managed to try a slice of. I think my favourite food of the evening was the Salmone Affumicato, as it was so fresh and can be perfectly paired with a glass of prosecco.

Thank you to Veeno and their press team for inviting me along (with my plus one) to the new menu launch – we really enjoyed our evening!
