AD – Affiliate. When my boyfriend and I talked about moving in with each other and living together, we knew that we wanted to turn the spare room into a gaming room for the both of us to use. We’ve now been living in our new apartment for over 3 months and we’ve gradually been adding/changing our gaming room set up. My favourite colour is purple, closely followed by pink, so most items within my set up are either purple, pink, black or white to try create a bit of a theme. Some items in my set up and gaming room are budget, others are more expensive. I plan on slowly upgrading items as and when I can over time.

Ikea desks
We now both have Ikea desks. Tom’s desk is black. Unfortunately due to the pandemic, we were unable to go to Ikea at the time but we ended up finding the white version of Tom’s black desk on the Facebook marketplace (out of pure luck).
ADX Race19 Gaming Chair in Black & Pink
I wanted a comfortable gaming chair, which was ideally purple or at the very least pink. Many gaming chairs have been out of stock during the UK lockdowns, so I ended up choosing this one which I purchased from Currys PC World.
Pink PC case
I’m incredibly lucky that my boyfriend Tom surprised me with a pink case, when he was building me a PC. You can buy the pink PC case here on Amazon.
Monitors
One of my monitors is a gaming monitor, which I’m very happy with. I’ve since also got a second monitor, which is just a standard one that Tom had spare and it will do for now.
Gaming Headset – HyperX Cloud II in Gunmetal
My boyfriend actually recommended this headset to me, after he had the red version for many years. Ideally I’d have liked a purple or pink headset, but I’m happy with gunmetal. It’s a super comfortable headset and I’ve seen many gamers recommend it.
Gaming mouse
I’ve had this gaming mouse for many years, it’s a budget gaming mouse and although it is a standard gaming mouse, it really has done well and lasted me years.
Mechanical gaming keyboard
I decided to buy a budget mechanical gaming keyboard for now, instead of splashing out on something super expensive. You can change the RGB lighting and patterns on it. I personally think it’s a decent budget keyboard.
Elgato HD60 S Capture Card
This is the capture card which everyone seems to recommend and I can see why! There are budget versions available, but I personally decided if I was going to buy one, I wanted to get a capture card which had such positive reviews and was worth the money.
Razer Kiyo webcam
My webcam is another item which is highly recommended within the streaming community. This also comes with a built in ring light, which is bright. I’m extremely happy with my Razer Kiyo and I’ve had no issues at all.
Purple and pink desk pad
I bought this on a whim, but I’m so pleased with it and it looks fabulous with my set up. There are other desk pad sizes available, but the one linked below is the one I chose. There are also a variety of other colours available.
RGB lighting for streaming
I’d read online from other streamers that there were alternative methods of getting the lighting which many streamers have. RGB floodlights! They even come with two remote controls. We’ve had such a wonderful experience using them during our streams so far, plus it’s a more affordable option.
I’ve been accepted to the Amazon Influencer Program and I’ve used my Amazon storefront to create a list of everything we’ve purchased using Amazon within our gaming room/streaming set up. You can view my Amazon storefront by clicking here.
