The best way to see success is to be consistent. Whether you’re trying to lose weight, learn a skill, run a business or simply make small healthy changes, it’s important to keep doing what you’re doing. Even if you feel like you’re not making progress or are starting to lose motivation, it’s vital to stay consistent and build those good habits into your daily routine. That’s one of the secrets to perfecting your smile and having a radiant appearance; consistency! In this blog post, we’re going to teach you how to have the perfect smile in just 6 simple steps that you can repeat every day. Yes, some of these will be obvious, but it’s the consistency that counts if you want repeatable results!
- Brush
This should go without saying; brush your teeth! Again, going back to the theme of consistency, you have to build up a habit of brushing your teeth every day until it becomes completely natural and second nature. Make sure you practice your brushing technique every day so that you can ensure they are clean and that you sweep out any debris.
- Floss
To coincide with brushing, make sure you floss at least twice a day and commit it to your daily schedule. If you’re using metal braces, then you can ask your dentist for threaders instead to clean between the wires. Flossing can be quite tricky and time-consuming but once your hands are used to the motions, you’ll find it’s very easy to repeat on a regular basis.
- Reduce Staining
There are lots of different substances that can stain your teeth, such as coffee and black tea. If you drink these, try to limit your daily amount or even drink it with a straw so that it doesn’t touch your teeth. Smoking can also be a bad habit that stains your teeth, so take extra care and try to avoid the habit.
- Brace Care
If you’re using metal braces then make sure you’re practising proper maintenance and care routines. This means taking them off if possible and using brace-specific flossing tools. You’ll also want to avoid hard foods whenever possible, such as fried foods and larger pieces of fruit that can be tough to chew.
- Lip Care
Remember that your lips are also a part of your smile and it’s important to keep them well-maintained. We suggest you start by exfoliating your lips with a lip scrub or even a spare toothbrush. If your lips are extremely dry or chapped, then make sure you do it only after a shower. We also suggest that you apply lip balm after exfoliating and to use it on a regular basis to keep your lips smooth, protected and hydrated.
- Remember to Smile
No matter how perfect your teeth and lips are, you can’t perfect your smile without practising it in the first place. Make sure you’re thinking positive thoughts and try not to dwell on negative things too much. Think of something happy and try to relax in order to boost your confidence and perfect your beautiful smile.
