AD – Affiliate | Just before lockdown was announced in the UK, I decided it was time for me to give HelloFresh a try. HelloFresh is a UK food subscription service where you select how many/which recipes you want. I’d heard mixed reviews from friends and online, but I was still keen to experience HelloFresh for myself. I’ve decided to do a review of some of the HelloFresh meals I’ve cooked over the past few months. I’ve also included my discount code/affiliate link at the bottom of this blog post, which will get you £20 off your first HelloFresh order!
Quick Butter Chicken Masala
This is one of my favourite HelloFresh meals which I’ve cooked so far. It has very little heat, contains 1 of your 5 a day and tasted absolutely delicious. It’s an extremely easy and quick dish to make, at just 20 minutes.
Pulled Chicken Burgers
These Pulled Chicken Burgers are filling and take 40 minutes in total to prepare/cook. I decided not to have the tangy slaw with mine, as I’m not a fan of some slaws. I found these very straight forward to cook and they were super tasty, it melted in your mouth.
Superquick Beef Ragu
This was another quick meal to make, taking to 20 minutes and containing 1.5 of your 5 a day. Although I enjoyed this meal, I found it to be quite rich and heavy on my stomach. Nice and easy to cook after a long day at work though.
Presto Bacon and Mushroom Spaghetti
This dish was so yummy, whilst being very easy to cook (taking just 20 minutes) with simple ingredients. It was also really filling! The recipe said to add walnuts on top, but I’m not a fan so I decided not to.
Green Thai Style Chicken Curry
The green thai style chicken curry was another favourite of mine, is easy to cook, taking just 20 minutes and it contains 1 of your 5 a day. This is one of the most straight forward recipes I’ve ever followed and it only required a pan and a chopping board, so minimal washing up was needed!
HelloFresh Discount Code
HelloFresh are now accepting new customers again! You can get £20 off your first order, using my code:

All of the HelloFresh recipes are really easy to follow, with everything needed to cook your meals. I’m guilty of cooking the same meals each week, so using a food subscription service is a good option for mixing it up a bit. The meals generally tend to be low calorie/low fat content but you can also select to have those types of meals in particular. I’m genuinely so impressed with HelloFresh and even when there was a mix up with one of my orders where they forgot to send me the chicken for the curry, they were helpful and rectified the issue quickly.
What do you think to HelloFresh? Have you tried it? Are you considering giving a UK food subscription service a try? Let me know in the comments.
