Christmas is a time for family, friends and stocking up on your favourite shower gel. For my fourth Blogmas post, I decided I had to review a Lush Christmas product. After some thought, I decided to review the Lush Rose Jam Shower Gel. If you are not a fan of rose scented products, you may want to write this off straight away. However, please don’t – give it a chance first.
Two years a go I bought the Rose Jam shower gel in the Boxing Day sales at Lush Sheffield. I had no idea that buying this shower gel would cause a huge addiction to Lush shower gels and would cause rose jam to become a personal favourite of mine.

Many floral scented products can be quite over-powering, but I promise rose jam is different. The rose jam shower gel smells of rose (obviously), vanilla and lemon/citrus. This scent lasts on the skin for hours after showering. The texture of rose jam is a bit like a thin jelly instead of a usual shower gel, so very little is needed to produce a thick lather.
Rose Jam is generally only available up until the end of December, as it is a Christmas product. However, you may be lucky like I have been the past two years and manage to grab it in the sales. I was also recently told a pretty cool little Lush tip from a member of staff, which was that you can use this shower gel on your hair as shampoo. However, if you have dyed hair I wouldn’t recommend using it – as many Lush products strip colour from your hair.
If you get the chance or opportunity to try the Rose Jam shower gel, please do – you will not regret it. I strongly recommend trying it, as I love this shower gel. I wish it wasn’t a seasonal product, as I would by it all-year-round.
