Review: Mayraki Professional Hair Products & Discount Code

Mayraki recently reached out to me and asked if I would like to receive some of their products to try for myself, and I agreed. I’ve always had quite long, curly hair and I go between phases of straightening it all the time, or having it curly constantly. By leaving it curly I know it is better for my hair, helping to hopefully make it healthier. My curls can sometimes go frizzy depending on what products I use. Mayraki sent me a box with products inside for me to review, which included:

Who are Mayraki?

Mayraki Professional was founded by a group of hair professionals, herbalists and chemists. They focus on developing products that solve hair and scalp problems, and improving the condition of hair without being too expensive or damaging the environment. I love the creativity behind their brand, as the name Mayraki is hewn from the Greek word “Meraki”, which means “to leave a piece of yourself in your work.” Mayraki state on their website and throughout their branding that they are passionate about the types/kinds of ingredients which are used in their products (which means no harsh chemicals).

Mayraki Silky Smooth Proactive Hair Treatment

First things first, I like the pump on the bottles! The pump makes the product super easy to apply whilst showering. I usually end up trying to pick up a bottle with wet hands and then constantly dropping it. The packaging on Mayraki Silky Smooth Proactive Hair Treatment states this hair treatment helps in reconstructing and restoring hair cuticles, leaving it smooth, silky, strong and healthy. I followed the instructions as per the packaging and decided to use it as a pre-shampoo treatment, putting a generous amount on my hair as advised. I left it on for 20 minutes and then used shampoo and conditioner as normal. The treatment left my hair feeling super soft to touch.

Mayraki Ultra Repairing & Weightless Moisture Shampoo

I’ve managed to use the Mayraki Ultra Repairing & Weightless Moisture Shampoo a few times now before writing this blog post. I used it all times as directed on the bottle, by massaging it into wet hair to create a lather and then rinse. Once applied to the hair, it creates a foamy texture which covers the hair quickly. I feel that after using this shampoo, it’s helped my hair to have more moisture and a nice texture. After using this shampoo alone, without the hair treatment, my curls seemed to be tighter and more defined than usual.

Mayraki Wooden Paddle Brush and Microfiber Hair Towel Wrap (Purple)

As my hair is so curly, I can be quite particular about what brush I will use on my hair but the Mayraki Wooden Paddle Brush is actually awesome. It doesn’t pull on my hair and brushes through my curls nicely. I think it has to be my new favourite brush! With regards to the Mayraki Microfiber Hair Towel Wrap, I’m so glad I was sent the purple one to review (it’s one of my favourite colours). I love the quality of the fabric and my thick hair fit inside the towel wrap perfectly.

I have to say, particularly after using both products – my hair was super soft and it appeared to have a nice shine to it. The branding is very clear, the colour choice of the packaging works well with the product being 100% vegan. I am so pleased with the products I was sent by Mayraki, I believe it’s a great range. I can’t wait to see how my hair continues to feel and look after more use of these products! Interestingly, Mayraki also state on their website that their products can be used on hair extensions – so I will give that a try in future.
