Review: Sussex Special Handcrafted Candles

I’ve collaborated with Sussex Special Handcrafted Candles because I’m obsessed with candles, I love anything which makes my home even more cosy. I genuinely enjoy reviewing candles because they are a part of my daily routine. I was asked to choose a candle from two collections, so after having a long browse of their website I chose the Borde Hill Gardens scented soy candle from The Sussex Special Collection and the Lady Sparkle scented soy candle from the Boutique collection. Both candles arrived beautifully packaged, individually, wrapped in black tissue paper to match their branding.

Borde Hill Gardens Scented Soy Candle

I chose to first light the Borde Hill Gardens scented soy candle in the living room. I absolutely love floral scents and this candle did not disappoint! I really enjoyed the strong rose scent, which reminds me of my childhood. This candle is from The Sussex Special Collection, which is inspired by the experiences of visiting Sussex and enjoying the great outdoors. I also love the style of the jar which the candles come in and the lid can be used to easily put your candle out.

Lady Sparkle Scented Soy Candle

Fragrance notes: Pear, Sweet Notes, Cotton Candy, Vanilla, Cherry

I like to unwind and relax on an evening, so I chose to light this candle in the bathroom as I was having a bath at the time. The Lady Sparkle scented soy candle has such a calming, yet refreshing smell. This candle is from the Boutique collection, which consists of Sussex Special’s best sellers. Lady Sparkle has such a beautiful and sweet aroma, it is 100% my favourite out of the two candles I chose. Both candles came with instructions for candle care and the website is also filled with plenty of advice on how to get the best experience from your Sussex Special candles.

How much are the candles and where can they be purchased?

I’m amazed by Sussex Special’s candles as they have a very reasonable burn time of 35+ hours. The two I chose to review are genuinely stunning and I’m pleased I’ve found another candle brand that I love. Both the Borde Hill Gardens scented soy candle and the Lady Sparkle scented soy candle are priced at £12.95, which is reasonable considering the excellent quality of the candles and the burn time.
