Songs That Remind Me Of Summer

The evenings have finally started to get lighter in the UK, which makes me think about summer and how much I love it. That’s when I was inspired to compile a list of my favourite songs which remind me of summer time. I’m really looking forward to summer.

I’m always so excited for summer. On a weekend it’s awesome to relax with friends or I like throwing a BBQ with family and/or friends. It’s the kind of situation where I want to play music full blast through a Wireless Speaker System. Listening to the music whilst the weather is beautiful and making cocktails using a Home Cocktail Making Kit with my friends.

Below is my list of favourite summer tunes:

Island In The Sun – Weezer

Island In The Sun is the kind of song everyone associates with a good memory. My memory is from my teenage years as it is on one of my favourite films. Buy or download Island In The Sun (Album Version).

Summertime Sadness – Lana Del Rey

This reminds me of my summer a couple of years back. I’d listen to Summertime Sadness on repeat, as it reminds me of going out drinking with my friends.

Hot In Herre – Nelly

Surely this list would be incomplete without Hot In Herre. This makes me think of my local club loyally playing this song every summer.

California Gurls – Katy Perry

With it’s addictive beat, Katy Perry’s hit is extremely popular and worthy of being one of my most recent favourites. You can purchase California Gurls (Feat. Snoop Dogg) on Amazon.

Trap Queen – Fetty Wap

I’ve been repeatedly singing the line “I’m like hey what’s up hellooo!” repeatedly ever since I heard Trap Queen by Fetty Wap. This song is so addictive, if you love it also, why not purchase Trap Queen from Amazon’s website!

Summer of ’69 – Bryan Adams

This list would actually be incomplete without this song. It has such a nostalgic feel to it whenever I hear this.

Lean On – Major Lazer & DJ Snake (feat. MØ)

It’s pretty much impossible to not dance to this tune. With the catchy beat, you’ll be dancing around as soon as you listen to this.

I hope you’ve enjoyed reading about and seeing my music choices which remind me of summer. I feel so happy from the thought of laying on a beach, in the hot sunshine, sipping on a cocktail or hanging out with my friends whilst listening to these.
