Yankee Candle – My Fragrance Of The Week: Coconut & Vanilla Bean

I have heard many friends say how amazing the Coconut & Vanilla Bean Yankee Candle is, so I wanted to try it for myself. I’d also read amazing things about it online from Yankee Candle fans, so my expectations were high.

Firstly, the colour of the Coconut & Vanilla Bean wax is an extremely dark coconut brown.

I’ve bought a few of these recently and sometimes it seems to be hit & miss. Most of the time it smells AMAZING, but on other occasions I can barely smell it at all during burning.

This candle does have a lovely aroma, with a tropical scent which spreads around the whole room. The coconut smell is creamy and the vanilla scent is warm and inviting, which works really well together.

The coconut and vanilla scent is great for odour elimination. I find it really relaxing, but it also brightens my mood.

I do think this candle would be great as a secondary candle, to mix the scent with others. As I mentioned above, I’ve had some “dud” Coconut & Vanilla Bean Yankee Candles which didn’t seem to have as much of a strong scent. Therefore, I think mixing it with another scent could be interesting.

The dark brown wax did stain one of the my glass candle holders slightly.

I can completely understand why this is a favourite scent for some people! I can also understand why others say they wouldn’t purchase this one again. I personally keep buying it because when I do get a good one – I love it.
