Yesterday, the 20th September, was the first day of York Food & Drink Festival 2019. I was recently invited along to their pre-launch evening to sample what they have in store for us at this years event. Upon entering the venue for this event, there was an acoustic singer which set the calming tone for the evening. Once guests had arrived, Ben Fry, who is York’s town crier, introduced the festival and rang his bell.

The organisers have worked really hard on making this years York Food & Drink Festival the best yet, with this year featuring: Taste Trail, Drink Trail, Grazing café, Fizz Bar, Food Factory, Chef demonstrations, Street food, Produce stands, Gin Fair, Wine Fair, Live music with Mindfest, and much more!
The food and drinks we got to sample were delicious. In particular I loved the sausages, the pork pies and the cheeses etc. Some of these were samples of the grazing café which I am also really looking forward to popping along and visiting. There is such a variety at this years festival, including vegetarian and vegan foods. I’m super looking forward to the taste trail and I hope to pop along to some of the chef demonstrations if I can.

York Food & Drink Festival 2019 takes place from the 20th September until the 29th September. For more information about York Food & Drink Festival 2019, you can read this years programme on their website. You do not want to miss out on all the amazing things they have planned this year!
