Blogmas is almost over and very soon, we will all be seeing in the new year. It’s time to reflect on 2016 and think about my 2017 goals. I’ve done quite well with Blogmas this year, definitely better than last year in terms of keeping up with it.

Blog Reflections
In 2016, I moved over to a self-hosted blog. My blog was already quite user-friendly in my opinion, but I feel like it’s improved since moving self-hosted. I feel like my content has really improved, I’m always working hard trying to think up new ideas. I’ve also worked with some of the most amazing brands this year, I didn’t think this could really improve from last year but I’ve been pleasantly surprised and impressed myself.
Life Reflections
2016 was a year of change for me. I moved back to York from Sheffield and moved back in with my parents for a little while. I left my old job and worked for a GP surgery in York for 8 months or so. This month I’ve started an apprenticeship as a Senior Admin in the NHS and I’m excited because I’ve worked really hard for this. In 2016 I also met my wonderful boyfriend Kiel and I couldn’t imagine my life without him now.
Blog Goals
In 2017, I hope to:
- Increase all the usual stuff re: my statistics and views, but blog statistics aren’t everything, which I do need to remind myself of in future
- Continue to post more often
- Continue to improve on my photography
- Work with even more amazing brands than in 2016, if possible.
Life Goals
2017 looks like it’s going to be a year of amazing and exciting plans.
- Explore new places and travel
I’ve actually travelled and explored a lot more in 2016 than ever before. I went on 2 trips to Amsterdam, visited local places, went to Edinburgh for the first time ever and so much more. I totally need to do more stuff like this in 2017!
- Lose weight
I need to re-focus on Weight Watchers in the new year, which I’m genuinely looking forward to doing.
- Move in with Kiel
Kiel and I are aiming to be living together after summer in 2017, which is very exciting.
Do you have any goals for 2017? If so, what are they? Let me know in the comments.
