AD – Press Event | Everything’s better On The Beach. I spent a Saturday afternoon in January at On The Beach Holidays event in Manchester. I was very kindly invited to attend their Life’s A Beach travel blogger event at On The Beach Holidays HQ. On The Beach Holidays HQ is very light, airy and spacious inside. It has a really nice, relaxing vibe to it. Here’s the full low down on what we got up to at On The Beach Holidays #LifesABeach event!
Upon arrival, we were given the flowers to wear around our necks and filled out our details for our badges. We then walked through to the area where the event was taking place which was beach themed and there was a glass of prosecco waiting for us. I loved the extra attention to detail such as the challenge cards which we were each given, the On The Beach cupcakes, the themed mini buckets full of sweets on the tables, etc.
Who are On The Beach Holidays?
On The Beach are a travel company, who offer budget-friendly beach holidays. On The Beach offer affordable prices by booking with various providers, unlike their competitors who offer fully packaged holidays. They have over 1.5 million customers every year. In 2020 and beyond, they are going to be offering more long-haul holidays.
It was then time for the presentations! First we learned more about On The Beach Holidays and their plans for the year/near future. We then listened to a talk by Catalunya tourism board, which was really interesting – it was nice to learn about somewhere new which I’ve never visited. I’d love to visit Catalunya one day as it sounds amazing! Then, a travel blogger did a talk all about SEO and why it’s so important for us as bloggers. It was a very interesting talk and I learned a few things I didn’t already know. SEO can be scary, especially at the beginning of your blogging journey when you don’t know much about it.
Finally, it was time for some more drinks and food! Some of the food was provided by the Catalunya tourism board with a Spanish theme, along with some sangria. I decided not to have any sangria and had another prosecco instead. The whole table was covered in a variety of different nibbles, snacks and sandwiches.
Sadly, I had to leave a little early and miss out on the quiz, as I had tickets to see a show back in my home town that evening. The event was a fun afternoon and made me want to go on my next sunny holiday. Thank you to On The Beach Holidays for inviting me! We each got to take home our own Catalunya goodie bag, provided by the tourism board. Find out more information on their website, about On The Beach Holidays.
