Review: 1903 Lounge – Manchester Airport Terminal 3

The 1903 Lounge is located in Terminal 3, Manchester Airport and I was invited along to review the lounge in exchange for a complimentary ticket to use the 1903 lounge, before my flight to CDG – Paris, ahead of my most recent trip to Disney Land Paris for my friend Bethan’s hen party. As well as being given access to the 1903 Lounge, I was also given Fastpass tickets to help get through security quicker, as this is included in the price of your lounge ticket. This was really helpful for my anxiety disorder, as airports are a busy and stressful place anyway but it’s always so much more intensified for me. You can use the lounge for up to two hours prior to your flight time, which is handy if you have some time to spare and want to relax.

1903 lounge is adult exclusive, therefore babies and children are not permitted. Your access to the 1903 lounge gives you all-inclusive access to the bar and food selection, in which there was such a great selection of sandwiches, hot food, a drinks bar, etc including vegan and vegetarian options. There is a wide range of premium alcoholic (including champagne) and non-alcoholic drinks, such as unlimited tea, coffee and soft drinks. The food is freshly prepared by the lounge’s in-house chefs, with quality ingredients. The staff in the lounge are so helpful and incredibly attentive, I was given such a warm welcome and a tour.

The lounge/seating area itself is cosy, with a view of the run way so you could watch the planes landing and taking off. I sat down at a table to charge my phone and grabbed some of the food (it was between breakfast and lunch time but there was plenty of choice), whilst I enjoyed the view of the runway and then I decided to have a pre-flight gin and tonic. You are also given access to the Wifi for the working passenger, or if you like to relax and catch up with the news, there is a great selection of newspapers and magazines.

Thank you so much to Manchester Airport’s marketing team and the 1903 lounge for making my journey in the airport as stress free as it possibly could be. Personally, I think the lounge price is well worth the money – as if you bought a drink/food in the busy departures area, it would cost just as much. The bonus is you also get the fast track through security and a place to relax as you wait for your boarding time. I will definitely be back ahead of my next flight!
