When most people hear “Hotter Shoes”, their first thought is probably shoes for older ladies. If you have that assumption, I hope this post will persuade you otherwise. I’d only just moved back to York but I was so excited to be invited to the #ShoesieTuesday Hotter Shoes York blogger event for a look at the Spring Range, learn more about the brand and to meet the PR team.
The evening began with a glass of prosecco and an amazing selection of tasty food. Hotter Shoes began in 1959 making slippers, but has expanded into making shoes which are as comfortable as slippers. In February 2010 there were 5 Hotter stores – today there are over 80 stores! York was the 4th Hotter store to open.
As the evening continued, we sat down with the food and prosecco to watch a small presentation about Hotter’s history as a brand.
Hotter are extremely proud of the “comfort concept” with each pair of shoes. The soles of the shoes are filled with millions of bubbles, at the Hotter factory. In February 2010, Hotter launched in the USA and in 2015, they also won the Queens Award For Enterprise.
Hotter has grown into a huge brand, with a call centre in Lancashire, which opens 8am to 4am taking calls from customers across the UK and USA.
Towards the end of the evening we were given the opportunity to choose a pair of shoes to take home ourselves to review. I instantly fell in love with the Donna’s in silver. I tried on other pairs of shoes but I knew I had to have the Donna shoes.
Heels and comfort are not two words which usually go together, but my Silver Donna’s are very comfy whilst still looking stylish. I absolutely love the silver colour on these, it matches perfectly with so many of my outfits.
I figured they’d go perfectly with an outfit I had planned for an event the following weekend. Unfortunately, I was unwell so I was unable to go to that event but I’m waiting for an opportunity to wear my new shoes out.
This was such a lovely event and I left with such a happy feeling. I left with an adorable pair of shoes and a new shoe brand to obsess over. Thank you so much to the staff at Hotter Shoes, York and the Hotter Shoes PR team for putting on such a wonderful event.
